Evalueserve Expands Global Presence –The First KPO to Set up Operations in Chile
Gurgaon, India – 19 December 2006: In a strategic move to capture the huge
potential market and offer a global delivery platform, Evalueserve has opened a
Latin American operations centre in Chile. The company is the first Knowledge Process
Outsourcing (KPO) firm to invest in a delivery centre for the region.
Evalueserve is also the first KPO to have multiple delivery locations, with operations
centres in India and China – two of the world’s most rapidly growing economies.
The Chilean delivery centre is expected to start operations in December 2006 with
approximately 15 employees. Evalueserve plans to employ 120 professionals in Chile
by 2008, and subsequently add around 60 professionals every year.
“The company believes the country could represent 10 percent of global revenues
by 2008, and also add business for the India and China operations,” said Robert
Daigle, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Evalueserve.
Evalueserve’s Chilean operations will start with an offering of investment research
services, including equity research and financial modelling on behalf of global
investment banks. The company's service offerings at its other delivery centres
include investment research, business research, data and financial analytics, market
research, and intellectual property research.
Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) has been defined as offshoring of knowledge-intensive
business processes that require specialised domain-based expertise. Revenue from
the global KPO market was USD 1.2 billion in 2003 and is expected to grow to USD
17 billion by 2010, with annual growth of 46 percent.
"KPO is a high growth industry and we are one of the largest players. Our plan is
to grow to about 2,500 or 3,000 people in two years. We also are considering opening
a delivery centre in Eastern Europe in the future, thereby continuing our plans
to provide a seamless global delivery platform," said Robert Daigle.
Evalueserve has served more than 1000 clients worldwide and completed over 10,000
projects covering multiple industry segments, including the financial services,
hi-tech, pharmaceutical and biotechnology, energy, consumer goods, automotive and
manufacturing industries.
