British Broadcasting Corporation Worldwide opened a production office in India in October 2007, in its pursuit to increase its foothold in the country. Saul Nassé will lead the production house as its General Manager and Creative Head.
BBC Worldwide Productions, India, will primarily handle the production and delivery of television content. It will also manage key programme titles and acquire rights from both the BBC and independent producers. |

The India office is the third local production base, along with the Los Angeles production studio, which is a joint venture between Freehand (Australia) and the BBC. |

Sony Entertainment Television’s ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ is the Indian version of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ on ABC, which has been produced by the LA studio.
