Hyderabad-headquartered Pressmart has announced the availability of its "Pay-per Use" digital publishing software solution, which includes auto archiving services for the country’s Small and Medium Publishing (SMPs) industry. The one of its kind model will enable SMPs to employ Pressmart’s well known 360 degree New Media Delivery Service Platform and Library Digitisation Technology solutions for their newspapers, magazines, journals and catalogues. This would assist them in developing new revenue streams, without added investment.
Pressmart offers its customers a wide range of services – conversion, hosting, subscription, advertising, user-behaviour reporting, and delivery through multiple distribution channels, which include web, mobile, podcasts and RSS. While a majority of the 160 publications printed in 19 languages from 28 countries leverage the pay-as-you-go model from Pressmart, the local and community newspapers have profited the most from it. These papers control their costs to obtain maximum exposure through this monetization-ready service.
"Our customers in India – especially in the SMP segment – are looking for ways to expand their revenue streams from the invaluable content at their disposal," stated Sanjiv Gupta, CEO of Pressmart Media Limited. He added, "The "Pay per Use" technology from Pressmart provides outstanding technology and the widest spectrum of new media distribution capabilities, bringing tremendous value proposition for our SMP customers. We are confident this new model will help us tap and develop new business opportunities”.
Another offering from Pressmart, its eArchiving technology, is an archiving solution for digitising online archives of over four centuries of newspapers from microfilm and newsprint sources.
In an agreement with Suburban Newspapers of America to use Pressmart’s New Media Delivery Platform and to empower their eEdition, has helped Pressmart to add new features and come up with flexible digital publishing solutions.
Presently, Pressmart’s New Media Delivery Platform is approved by customers across US, UK, Europe, India and the Middle East for its quality and the capability to develop and expand readership exposure for its content on new media channels, including mobile, podcasts and RSS. Its international clientele includes Trinity Mirror, CNBC European Business Magazine and World Association of Newspapers. |
