Urban Afforestation Initiative

Some commitments go beyond the classroom and the clinic, they reach into the earth itself. As part of its CSR initiative, Evalueserve partnered with CATCH Foundation to plant 3,000 saplings at the National Security Guard (NSG) Campus in Manesar, Gurugram, taking a meaningful step towards building a greener, healthier, and more sustainable urban landscape.

What set this initiative apart was the method behind it. The plantation was carried out using the innovative Catch Van Sanrakshan Pranali (CVSP) Miyawaki technique, a scientifically proven approach to creating dense, fast-growing urban forests that thrive naturally with minimal intervention. The process involved careful land preparation, composting, rotavator usage, accurate marking, and precise digging to ensure optimal growing conditions for every sapling planted.

The vision behind the effort was bold and long-term to develop a thriving urban forest that nurtures local biodiversity, improves air quality, reduces urban heat, and creates a natural habitat for local wildlife. This initiative contributes directly to Evalueserve’s broader ESG goals, reflecting the organisation’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development that goes hand in hand with community well-being.

The event brought together Jagdish Maithani, Group Commander Garrison at NSG, Sandeep Dembla, General Counsel at Evalueserve, and Bharat Sisodia, Founder and Chairman of CATCH Foundation, whose presence underscored the shared conviction and collaborative spirit that made this initiative possible.
The urban forest will be maintained and nurtured by CATCH Foundation over the next three years, during which it is expected to evolve into a self-sustaining ecosystem, a living, breathing green lung for the Manesar region.

This collaboration between Evalueserve, NSG, and CATCH Foundation stands as a testament to what is possible when organisations unite around a shared purpose and sets a meaningful benchmark for future CSR efforts in the direction of sustainable development.
